The Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei said that the enemies are using the Takfiri ideology to create a gap among Muslims.

"Hegemonic powers plan to drive a wedge among Muslims," Iran's IRNA News Agency quoted Khamenei as saying on Sept.7.

He went on to add that the enemies attempt to divert Muslim's attention from the issue of Palestine.

"The issue of Palestine is the most important concern of the Muslim world," he said, adding that Muslims have the upper hand when it comes to the issue of Palestine.

Iran's leader further referred to the Israeli regime's defeat in its 50-day war against the Gaza Strip. "The Palestinian victory demonstrated that Muslims are powerful and capable of defending themselves."

"Muslims can challenge the enemies, not with an eye to dominating the world, but to eliminate oppression," he noted.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Hajj officials in Tehran.

He described the Hajj pilgrimage as a great opportunity to strengthen unity among Muslims.
