Iran to file complaint against Turkey in D-8

Iran will file a complaint against Turkey in the D-8 Group for raising import tariffs of Iranian petrochemical products to Turkey.
Ahmad Mahdavi, secretary of the association of Iranian petrochemical industries union, said Turkey has recently increased the import tariffs of Iranian petrochemical products from 3 percent to 6.5 percent, Iran's Shana news agency reported on September 16.
Noting that Turkey has been one of the main destinations for Iranian petrochemical products in recent years, he added that Iran will file a complaint against Turkey in the D-8 Group soon.
This is while Turkey has maintained the same tariff for importing petrochemical products from Azerbaijan, he noted.
The Developing 8 (D-8) are a group of developing countries that have formed an economic development alliance. It consists of Bangladesh, Egypt,Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey.
