Russian Deputy FM: Iran, P5+1 make progress on all issues, certain political solutions needed
Iran and the P5+1 group (five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany) have made progress on all issues but certain political decisions need to be taken," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Friday.
"One question depends on another and there has been different progress on different topics. So it would be wrong to say that we solved this and failed to solve that because the agreement being drafted is basically a package and unless all of its points are agreed, nothing can be considered agreed," Ryabkov said.
"In this respect, no change has been made from what it was like before the New York meetings. But this does not mean that there was no progress. Progress was made on all issues without exception. It's just that certain political decisions need to be changed. And this is what has yet to be done," the diplomat said.
