Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb.11
By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Signs of Iran 's Islamic Revolution are now visable worldwide, Major General Qasem Suleimani, the commander of the Quds force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said.
Suleimani said that unique achievements of the Islamic Revolution can be seen from Bahrain and Iraq to Syria, Yemen, and North Africa, Iran 's Fars news agency reported Feb. 11.
"Imperial powers and Israel have been suffering defeats against the resistance front. They confess to the might of the Islamic Republic more than the past," he added.
Referring to the recent military operations of Hezbollah against Israel, he named Hezbollah as a significant symbol of the resistance front.
Some military and political officials in Iran do not hide the Islamic Republic's intent to spread its influence over the region.
Last December Deputy Commander of the IRGC, Hussein Salami said the balance of power in the region has changed in Iran's favor.
He said that the Iraqi peoples' militias are connected to Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution, adding Iraqi Shiite militias are tens of times more than the Lebanese Hezbollah group.
While commenting on the Islamic Republic's influence in Yemen, Salami said that the Yemeni Ansarullah group moves in accordance with the Islamic Revolution (1979) within Iran 's geopolitical space.
