Iran to hand over NAM presidency to Venezuela

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Venezuela will take the rotating presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) from his country, IRNA reported.
Iran has been the NAM head during the past three years.
The 17th NAM summit started in Margarita Island, Venezuela, on Sept. 15.
Rouhani left for Venezuela on Sept. 16.
The Iranian president added that he will also have a short visit to Cuba.
This is the first time that Rouhani visits South America since he became Iran’s president in mid-2013.
The NAM includes 120 member states and 21 observer countries.
