Stressing Tehran-Baghdad cooperation on regional issues, the Iranian official stressed that uprooting terrorism would be possible only through joint effort by all regional countries, IRIB news agency reported October 29.

He said during his trip, Iran and Iraq will sign four memoranda of understanding on human rights, judicial cooperation, as well as prisoners and criminals’ extradition.

Larijani is accompanied in his trip by Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Arab Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Human Rights chief Mohammad Javad Larijani, and a host of other officials.

While in Baghdad, he will meet Iraq’s judiciary chief, prime minister, and parliament speaker.
