Ahmad Jalalinasab, a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has been killed in Syria.
Official news agency IRNA reported that the IRGC member was killed in a recent fight against “terrorists” in Syrian city of Tadmur.
According to the report, a funeral ceremony for the killed IRGC officer will be held in Iranian city of Qom on Dec. 14.
According to official announcements by the Islamic Republic, over the past couple of years more than 1,000 servicemen deployed by Iran to Syria to back President Bashar Assad’s government have been killed in the Arab country.
