Representatives of Iran and the six world powers will hold a fresh round of joint commission meeting on Jan. 10 in Vienna to discuss the implementation of the nuclear deal signed in 2015.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi and Helga Schmid, who represents European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, will chair the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) Joint Commission ‎meeting, IRNA news agency reported Jan. 9.

Iranian and the US delegations are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting before the commission ‎session.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif sent a letter to Mogherini on Dec. 16, 2016 requesting for a session with signatories to the international nuclear deal, aka JCPOA, over Washington’s extending the sanctions against Iran for another 10 years.

In his letter, Zarif underlined Iran’s full commitment to the nuclear deal the country struck with the P5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France, Britain and Germany).
