Iran has said it welcomes and considers as a right step the joint declaration by Federica Mogherini, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, ministers of foreign affairs and finance of three European countries, as well as the declarations and stance of Russia and China against the "illegal" actions of the US, and their undertakings to protect financial channels with Iran and to continue import of oil.
In order to satisfy the economic interests of Iran, the success achieved in implementation of political undertakings of these countries is in the center of attention of the Islamic Republic, says the official declaration by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran regarding the unilateral imposition of embargoes by the US against Iran.
"Undoubtedly, the continuation of validity of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action will depend on successful implementation of these measures. Today, Iran as a powerful player in the regional and international arena, understanding its responsibility together with other countries believing in multilateral cooperation based on the mutual respect, is striving for the better future for the Iranian people, the Western Asia region and in general, of the whole world."
"We firmly believe that the Islamic Republic of Iran will overcome this problem as well with wisdom and prudence through cooperation with friendly countries and drawing on its internal potential and international power," the declaration of the Iranian MFA emphasizes.
