BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. The enhancement of economic and trade relations between Iran and Afghanistan is crucial, said Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Trend reports.
Speaking at a meeting on January 26 in Kabul with Afghanistan's Prime Minister, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Araghchi emphasized that both countries share common interests and concerns, and addressing these mutual interests and alleviating concerns is crucial for the benefit of both nations.
The FM also pointed out that resolving issues related to security, water, and migration should remain central to bilateral discussions.
In response, Afghanistan's Prime Minister expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation and develop relations with Iran across all sectors, including security.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi arrived in Afghanistan for an official visit on January 27.
