Iran unveils drone helicopter

Iran officially unveiled a domestically-built drone helicopter at the Kish International Air Show.

The chopper has the capacity to lift 15 kilograms of goods, Iran's Tasnim News agency reported on Nov. 19.

The drone can fly for 70 minutes and can take photos and video.

The country has recently unveiled a number of drone aircraft, including a copy of the captured US RQ-170 drone.

Managing Director of Iran's Aviation Industries Organizationm, Manouchehr Manteghi said on Nov. 15 Iran plans to mass produce drones for commercial use in near future.

"Commercial use will account for 70 percent of the total use of drones by 2025," he added.
