Starting from October 19, 40 people have applied to the treatment centers of Iran’s Bandar Abbas city due to alcohol poisoning, said Fatima Nowroozian, head of the Department of Public Relations and International Affairs of Iran’s Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, IRNA reported.
She said that those who apply as a result of poisoning are aged 15-50.
So far, one person has died and two have been placed in the intensive care unit, she added.
She noted that 19 people underwent dialysis due to kidney dysfunction related to alcohol poisoning during this period, adding that 18 patients were discharged from hospital after the treatment.
