Three border guards were swept away in floods in Iran’s south-eastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, Mohammad Hadi Marashi, assistant governor of the Sistan and Baluchestan province, said.
The border guards were in surveillance tower, Marashi added, Trend reports referring to ISNA.
When trying to leave the tower, one of the border guards was swept away in floods. When two other servicemen wanted to rescue him, they were also swept away in floods.
The bodies of all three servicemen were found.
Rainfall has resulted in overflowing rivers and some roads have been blocked.
