MTS announces open call for proposals in Turkmenistan

Turkmengaz to purchase gas turbine power stations from Russia
State owned Turkmengaz plans to execute a contract with the Russian open joint-stock company Saturn-Gas Turbines at its own expense, official Turkmen sources said.
Transactions will be made in accordance with decisions from the Turkmen President.
This contract is for the purchase of three GTPP 2.5 gas turbine power plants and the necessary tools. Moreover, the Russian company will maintain these installations, carry out their commissioning, and train specialists.
The GTPP 2.5 thermal power plant is designed to provide heat and electric power to industrial consumers and households. In their semi-peak and peak modes, they can be used independently or with other electricity sources or power systems in their bases. This is especially necessary at oil and gas production facilities for main and emergency sources of electric power and heat.
According to the company, the contract was discussed in Ashgabat in November of 2012. The contract was in regards to the supply of electricity to Turkmen gas fields. During negotiations, several Turkmen electricity projects such as various design opportunities and the production and construction of power facilities of different capacities were considered.
"Caspian marine reserve development issues, the East Bank of the Amu Darya and potential activity in other oil and gas rich areas offer opportunities for greater cooperation, as demonstrated in the course of negotiations on the promotion of Saturn-Gas Turbines JSC production in Turkmenistan," the company's press release said.
Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry cancels tender to purchase software
The Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry's tender to purchase special software to use intellectual analysis methods based on a high speed analytical platform, is announced as being invalid, the tender commission said on Friday.
The reason was lack of correspondence of tender participants' proposals with the ministry's requirements.
The Ministry plans to buy software in order to achieve a high performance in the areas of analytics, audit, and forecasting.
