Public budget of Azerbaijan (January-March 2016)

According to the Azerbaijani finance ministry, the country's state budget revenues amounted to 3.678 billion manat in January-March 2016. The state budget expenditures hit 2.623 billion manat.

The state budget revenues amounted to 3.678 billion manat compared to a 3.571 billion manat forecast for January-March, that is three percent more than the forecast.

Some 1.542 billion manat (101.4 percent of the forecast) was transferred to the state budget via the Taxes Ministry.

Most of tax revenues - 78.5 percent or 1.211 billion manat accounted for the non-oil sector revenues. The deduction from this sector increased by 9 percent from year to year.

The State Customs Committee fulfilled the forecast of contributions by 114.8 percent, by transferring 416.9 million manat to the budget (74.9 million manat or 21.9 percent more than in January-March 2015).

The revenues obtained from the paid services rendered by the budget enterprises amounted to 47.5 million manat, other income - 11.7 million manat. Some 1.660 billion manat was transferred from the State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan Republic to the state budget.

The state budget expenditures hit 73.3 percent or 2.623 billion manat for the reporting period. Some 54.4 percent of the expenses or 1.427 billion manat were directed to finance social expenditure, which is 3.8 percent or 52 million manat more than in January-March 2015.

The state budget surplus was 1.055 billion manat as of January-March 2016.

The consolidated budget revenues amounted to 4.473 billion manat, expenses - 3.348 billion manat in January-March. The consolidated budget had a positive balance at the level of 1.125 billion manat.
