Public budget of Azerbaijan (january-july 2016)

The Azerbaijani state budget sharply increased the deficit as of July.

Azerbaijan’s state budget revenues reached 7.007.5 billion manat, while expenses – 8.193.5 billion manat in January-July 2016, the country’s State Statistics Committee said citing the finance ministry.

As a result, the state budget deficit was estimated at 1.186 million manat or 3.7 percent of GDP. For comparison, as of July, the index was 687.7 million manat or 2.5 percent of GDP.

GDP was estimated at 32.122.6 billion manat in January-July.

The law on state budget for 2016 envisages obtained the revenues worth 16.822 million manat, revenues worth 18.495 million manat and deficit not exceeding 1.673 million manat for the entire year.
