The Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper reported that Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanian has experienced health problems and needs long-term treatment.
The paper turned to the Minister's spokesman David Karapetyan to clarify whether the information is legitimate and of the possibilities of Ohanian's discharge, as treatment will last between six to seven months.
Karapetyan refuted the information. "At the moment there is nothing of the sort. Maybe later I myself ..., but to date this is not so", he said.
According to the paper's sources, the country's authorities are considering appointing Ohanian's Deputy David Tonoyan as minister, if he relinquishes long-term care.
