Five Armenian nationals have reportedly suffered in the gas explosion and fire at a Moscow restaurant on Monday.

Five Armenian nationals have reportedly suffered in the gas explosion and fire at a Moscow restaurant on Monday, Tert.at reported.

According to Life News, those people are Felix Mkrtchyan, 14, Victoria and Svertlana Aghajanovas (39 and 52 respectively), a three year old child named Nika, and a confectioner of the restaurant, Yeghoyan Siranush (36).

Aghajanova's grandmother said she had covered her child's head with a cap, to protect the latter of serious burnt.

The gas explosion and fire have killed two people and injured at least 26, according to AP.

The explosion occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant called Il Pittore. The fire, believed to have been set off by the explosion, spread quickly through the brick building, which had two floors and an attic.
