Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia is investigating 88 reports of violation of citizens' electoral rights that were received yesterday, RIA Novosti quotes Prosecutor General's Office as reporting.

As a result of investigation, an explanation was given on four reported violations, a criminal case will be filed on a report, and the investigation of 61 reports of violations continues.

The sixth Armenian presidential elections are underway today from 08:00 to 20:00 local time. The head of state is elected for five years.

Those running for the presidency are the incumbent president and ruling Republican Party leader Serzh Sargsyan, former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, chairman of the Heritage Party Raffi Hovhannisyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Arman Melikyan, Andreas Ghukasyan and Vardan Setrakyan.
