Armenia presidential candidate suspect in attack on rival - media

Former presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan arrested by the court for two months, News-Armenia reported with reference to Aysor.am.
According to the report, the court granted the request of the National Security Service on the application to a Sedrakyan's two-month arrest as a preventive measure.
Sedrakyan's name surfaced in the case of attack on another candidate, Paruyr Hayrikyan. Media reported that two men arrested in the case, worked for Sedrakyan. Sedrakyan previously denied any involvement in the assassination, however, did not rule out that could be arrested after the election.
But on Tuesday the former candidate said that no investigation against him was conducted.
The press center of the National Security Servicey declined to comment.
