On April 22 in Gyumri the leader of "Heritage" party Raffi Hovhannisian called on all the opposition forces and civil society initiatives in Armenia to join the 'New Armenia' movement, Mediamax wrote with reference to the party's press service of the party.
"Now is the time when it is not yet too late for all the opposition parties and civil initiatives, to join our people's movement during the coming days or weeks. On May 1 and 9, they can stand near the people in the upcoming victory rallies at Liberty Square. Regardless of all we will achieve the victory of the people and for the sake of this we will not disperse to our homes but continue to fight and always be at the forefront, " Raffi Hovannisian said.
The incumbent president Serzh Sargsyan won at the first round of the presidential elections held on February 18 with 58.64 per cent of votes. The leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovanisian who took the second place with 36.74 per cent of votes, did not recognise the election results and announced a 'revolution of greetings'.
