Yerevan has hosted a signing ceremony of a memorandum of cooperation between the Attorney General of Armenia and the Attorney General of Iran on Tuesday, Panorama.am writes.
As Armenia's Attorney General Aghvan Hovsepian noted after the signing ceremony, under this agreement the parties have to demonstrate good will to strengthen cooperation in the legal field. Stressing that Armenia and Iran are cooperating in the economic and political fields, developing trade and increasing the flow of tourists, he pointed to the particular importance of relations in the legal field.
"The document provides the possibility of direct cooperation, not through diplomatic channels as it was prveiously," the Prosecutor General of Armenia said, adding that following the signing of the memorandum all issues will be resolved quickly and efficiently.
In turn, the Prosecutor General of Iran Gholamhossein Mohsen Ejei, agreeing with a colleague said that bilateral cooperation cannot be complete without relations in the legal sphere.
