European Union not to initial agreement on association with Armenia
The European Union does not intend to initial with Armenia neither agreement on association nor agreement on a deep and comprehensive free trade area, Peter Stano, the spokesperson for EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule, said, Armenia Today reported with the reference to Radio Azatutyun.
According to him, these documents are not compatible with membership in the Customs Union what Armenia intends to do.
Last Tuesday Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan declared about the decision of the republic to join the Customs Union and to take the necessary practical steps in this direction, and later to participate in the formation of Eurasian Economic Union.
Russian President Vladimir Putin supported this decision and expressed Russia's readiness to contribute fully to the process.
