The relatives of the Avetisyan family, killed in the Armenian city of Gyumri, visited on Feb. 23 the prosecutor’s office in the Shirak district demanding a meeting or telephone conversation with the prosecutor general, Gevorg Kostanyan.

The relatives of the Avetisyan family, killed in the Armenian city of Gyumri, visited on Feb. 23 the prosecutor's office in the Shirak district demanding a meeting or telephone conversation with the prosecutor general, Gevorg Kostanyan, the Novosti Armenia news agency reported.

They are demanding that the prosecutor general gives answers to all their questions.

Raffi Aslanyan, a prosecutor in the Shirak district told the Avetisyan family's relatives to write to Gevorg Kostanyan.

Six members of the Avetisyan family were shot in Gyumri on Jan. 12.

A six-month old child was injured and taken to a hospital, but died in the hospital a week later.

A Russian serviceman, Valery Permyakov is accused of the murder.

Two criminal cases were launched. The Russian side initiated proceedings under the articles "desertion" and "murder".

Armenia's Investigation Committee also launched a murder case.
