Chief of Defense of Lithuanian Armed Forces visits Georgia

( Prime-News ) - David Kezerashvili, Minister of Defense of Georgia, received Major General Valdas Tutkus, Chief of Defense of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, on Thursday.

Prime-News was told at the Ministry of Defense of Georgia that the meeting was attended by the Deputy Defense Minister Batu Kutelia.

Chief of Joint Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Col. Zaza Gogava held meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart today. The official welcome ceremony was held at the National Defense Academy.

Visit of nine-member delegation of Lithuanian Defense Ministry is implemented in the framework of bilateral defense cooperation plan for 2007 between Georgia and Lithuania and is aimed at strengthening military cooperation.

In the framework of a three-day visit, Lithuanian guests visited Sachkhere Mountain Training School.
