Georgia, Tbilisi /corr. Trend N.Kirskhalia / The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia refused the registration of three candidates for the presidency in Georgia, namely Aftandil Pilauri, Gie Chkhvadze and Giorgi Gakhokidze as they were unable to submit full documents.
Currently 19 people were registered as candidates for presidency: Mikhail Saakashvili, David Gamkrelidze, Levan Gachechiladze, Shalva Natelashvili, Gia Maisashvili, Irina Sarishvili-Chanturiya, Arkadi (Badri) Patarkatsishvili, Grigori Shervashide, Archil Ioseliani, Aftandil Margiani, Tamaz Bibiluri, Fazil Aliyev, Temur Shashiashvili, Giorgi Korganashvili, Shalva Kuprashvili, Levan Kidzinidze, Shalva Tsertsvadze, Giorgi Gachechiladze and Kartlos Garibashvili.
By 5 December all candidates must submit their applications to the CEC including 50,000 signatures from their supporters. By 10 December those who successfully pass the inspection will be registered as candidates to run for presidency in Georgia.
