Georgia, Tbilisi, 30 July / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Georgia's State Minister for Eurointegration Giorgi Baramidze called cynical and unacceptable for Georgia the proposal of South-Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoyta to improve the number of peacekeepers in Georgia-Ossetia conflict area. "Improvement of the number of peacekeepers is another step on the way to aggression towards Georgia," said Baramidze.

"That will be an unneighbourly, unfriendly and non-constructive step," he said.

Baramidze said Georgia several times stated its position that Russia is not an objective side and intermediate and therefore the country cannot be the side implementing peacekeeping process in Georgia's conflicting areas," he said.

Baramidze said that is why Georgia is struggling to replace Russian peacekeepers with international forces.
