Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel hopes that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev won't support the appeal of the Federation Council and State Duma, to recognize the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, reported PNA.
"I am concerned about the resolution about the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia passed by Duma. I hope that Russian President won't sign the resolution. It would be the next especially critical situation referring to Georgian territorial integrity", declared Merkel at the press-conference after her meeting with Swedish Prime Minister.
