New Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan can become the current Georgian deputy ambassador to the country
Nikoloz Gogitidze, a source at the Parliament of Georgia told Trend. Soon, this nomination will be presented by the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili to the Parliament for approval.
Gogitidze himself does not comment this information. He said today that approved for the post of Georgian ambassador to Azerbaijan on April 6, Irakli Kavtaradze will be appointed an ambassador to another country. Kavtaradze did not get permission-agrement from the Azerbaijani side.
The parliament circles claim that Gogitidze's nomination is acceptable for Baku.
Last year the Georgian parliament approved two ambassadors to Azerbaijan - Vano Noniashvili and Irakli Kavtaradze, but none of them started work in Baku.
