Police broke up supporters of the National Assembly, gathered on Rustaveli Avenue tonight, using tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons. Participants of the rally were forced to leave the territory before the Parliament of Georgia, where there were several hundred supporters of the radical opposition and their leaders.
It is still unknown how many people were injured during the dispersal of the rally.
According to journalists, no serious violence by law enforcement
Police warned protesters to need to leave meeting place. Leader of the National Assembly,
Nino Burjanadze called on Patriarch Ilia II to apeeal the authorities to prevent the dispersal of manifestation.
At this time there is no longer the protesters on Rustaveli Avenue. There are victims, but their exact number is not known yet.
As stated by the leader of the "whites" Temur Shashiashvili, there are few injured and wounded. He protested against the actions of Special Forces.
