Highly respected Georgian theatre and film actor Ramaz Chkhikvadze, has died at the age of 83. The Tbilisi City Hall told Trend, a special fund has been created to cover all his funeral expenses.
Chkhikvadze will be buried in Didube Pantheon, next to his late wife Natasha who died only two months ago. The actor only became ill recently and underwent treatment in the Czech Republic.
Chkhikvadze was recognised as one of the best performers of theatrical roles. He also starred in many films during the Soviet period, as well as in many memorable parts in the independent Georgian cinema. .
