Three Armenian citizens were injured in a car explosion in Tbilisi, emergency services told Trend, last night. A Volkswagen car first caught fire at a gas station in Ortachala district in Tbilisi and then exploded.

Three Armenian citizens were injured in a car explosion in Tbilisi, emergency services told Trend, last night. A Volkswagen car first caught fire at a gas station in Ortachala district in Tbilisi and then exploded.

There were four Armenians in the car, three of which are suffering from burns and were taken to hospital where they received medical aid.

The fourth Armenian was not injured as a result of the accident and made it clear they had arrived at the gas station to fill petrol tank. However, there was heating apparatus near the pump and as a result, the car caught fire.

Police are looking into the cause of the incident.
