Georgian Defence Minister Bachana Akhalaia has headed for Brussels to take part in Defence Ministerial meeting of NATO members and 20 countries-partners.
A whole number of questions, including operation in Afghanistan, will be discussed at the meeting, the Georgian Defence Ministry told Trend on Thursday.
Within the ministerial meeting Mr Akhalaia will hold bilateral talks with U.S. Defence Secretary Leon E. Panetta.
During the latest meetings in the U.S. the president of Georgia noted that the U.S. and Georgian defence ministers will discuss issue of transfer of both countries to new stage of development of relations in the spheres of defence and security during their personal meeting.
