Georgian border guards have detained a Russian citizen for violating the law relating to the occupied territories. The police said Bela Vekua illegally entered Abkhazia on September 17, 2011, through the Psou check point which is considered illegal. She was subsequently detained in Poti.
A criminal case is under investigation. The Russian citizen faces from two to four years imprisonment.
