Minister for Economic Development of Georgia Vera Kobalia met with a delegation from China and informed it about the investment environment in the country on Wednesday.
The delegation includes members of the National Congress, Chamber of Commerce Industrial Agriculture, the Association of private entrepreneurs and other organizations.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Economy Minister Michael Janelidze, Katie Bochorishvili and head of the Department of Foreign Trade and International Relations, Gennady Arveladze.
The meeting was exploratory in nature. China is interested in intensifying trade and economic relations with Georgia, especially in such business areas as energy, pharmaceuticals, textile and furniture manufacturing.
