Alexander Khetaguri, who served previously as Minister of Energy appointed Minister of Finance of Georgia, Georgian Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili said during the meeting with farmers in the region of Guria.
"I decided to submit Khetaguri to the most important position in the government - the post of Finance Minister, who coped well with his work, and today there is no place in Georgia, which is not lightened" he stressed.
The Premier also said MP Vahtang Balavadze, who has no experience in the executive branch will replace Khetaguri.
Merabishvili added that a former finance minister Dmitry Gvindadze will receive a new appointment in two days.
