Eka Zguladze appointed as Acting Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia. he previously served as Deputy Minister of MIA.

Zguladze said in her press statement that the police would be the same transparent and open organization as it were in recent years.

She highlighted that the new Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance Giorgi Tugushi will have at disposal the full staff of the patrol police, which was appointed the previous day to control of the situation in prisons in Georgia.

"We will make every effort to ensure the transparency of all government agencies of Georgia, and will not let us back when the police was the executioner of the people, and when I myself was a victim of the police," she said.

On Thursday evening Georgian Interior Minister Bacho Akhalaia resigned , who said a statement that he feels guilty about created situation in prison.

"I feel responsible and guilty for not being able to change the situation in the penitentiary system and outraged by the cadrs of violence that have been shown on the TV. Unfortunately, there were people inside of rapists those I brought in and so I feel moral responsibility for it, and I ask the resignation from the president, Akhalaia said in the statement.
