New government promises to restore territorial integrity of Georgia

Bidzina Ivanishvili said "Georgia's territorial integrity will be restored using the right actions and diplomatic relations."
This was stated by the candidate for prime minister on Wednesday at the meeting with the parliamentary minority.
Answering the question of MP Shota Malashkhia, he said that the keys to the territorial integrity lie inside the country.
According to Ivanishvili, right conduct, right action and correct diplomacy territorial integrity will restore Georgia's territorial integrity.
"The situation in this issue is very complicated. The situation is driven into a deadlock. I can not say that we have a specific plan, although I believe that through the correct behavior, action and correct diplomacy the territorial integrity will be restored. And the key to a solution is once again inside the country. We have to interest to our brothers - the Abkhazians and Ossetians - to live in a single country. And what's more, our country should be interesting for living "Ivanishvili noted.
Military actions were launched in the Georgian territory, South Ossetia on Aug.8 in 2008. Later the Russian troops occupied the city of Tskhinvali and drove the Georgian military back. Russia recognised the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in late August. In response, Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow and announced the two unrecognised republics as occupied territories.
Earlier leader of the Georgian Dream coalition which won the recent parliamentary elections, Bidzina Ivanishvili proposed candidates for ministers in the new Georgian government.
Ivanishvili intends to become prime minister.
