Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov.8 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia /
Drivers of municipal bus transport declared a strike on Thursday morning in Tbilisi. As a result passengers are struggling to get to work on time in the Georgian capital.
As the strikers told journalists, public transport drivers are demanding higher wages, better working conditions and the creation of a garage where buses can be repaired free of charge.
Some 1300 drivers from all three existing vehicle fleets are involved in the strikes.
As the drivers said, they decided to go on strike after the mayor's office refused to increase their salaries on Wednesday.
