The Secretary General of Council of Europe reiterated the organization's commitment to the unity and territorial integrity of Georgia.
This statement was made by Thorbjorn Jagland during a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend on Thursday.
The sides discussed issues of cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe.
Jagland promised to support the efforts of the Georgian government to strengthen European values, in particular the rule of democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
Zalkaliani also participated in the meeting of the CE Committee of Deputy Ministers.
