A delegation of the Russian company "Inter RAO UES" will arrive in Tbilisi today, Georgian Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze told journalists.
He said cooperation and reduction of electricity tariffs will be discussed during the visit of representatives of the Russian company that owns a 75-percent share of Tbilisi Electricity Distribution Company "Telasi".
"We will begin negotiations on reducing tariffs with the delegation," he said.
Tariff per kilowatt-hour of electricity is 17 tetri ($ 1 = 1.66 lari) in Tbilisi. The new government believes that it is possible to reduce this rate by 5 tetri.
