The new Georgian government has fulfilled its main promise - to restore the rule of law in the country, Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said at the first press conference after the new government is approved.

He stressed that the process of cleansing law enforcement agencies and Interior Ministry from the people who broke the law in the past, is in full swing. "The process is ongoing and over time you will see how things will develop," Ivanishvili said.

He expressed satisfaction with the changing situation in prisons and prosecutor's office. "I am pleased how our ministers Sozar Subari and Tea Tsulukiani work, who also deal with the cleansing of the ranks of law enforcement agencies," Ivanishvili said.

Ivanishvili said the formation of government structures has been already completed, and as he had promised, vast majority of officials remained in their offices. In some cases, even deputy ministers remained in their offices.
