The Georgian side is committed to strengthening the format of Geneva talks, Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze said at the meeting with international co-chairs of Geneva talks.

Panjikidze noted that the Geneva format is important in the field of security, stability and humanitarian assistance in the region, the Foreign Ministry told Trend.

Georgian side stressed the importance of the work over document on the nonuse of force, ensuring of the freedom of internally displaced persons' movement, and the protection of human rights.

The parties stressed the importance of taking effective steps for prevention of incidents and holding meetings in Gali and Ergneti.

The Minister expressed confidence that progress can be made in resolving the conflict through dynamic and meaningful talks.
