Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 3 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia /

The trial of former Defence Minister Irakli Okruashvili has been postponed to December 5.

Today's trial was postponed at the request of the detainee's lawyer Lali Aptsiauri. According to her, one of the wanted people on this case Gabriel Pavliashvili was arrested on November 26.

According to the judge Khatuna Kharchilava, the court did not possess this information, so the trial was postponed to December 5.

Okruashvili is accused of forming an illegal armed group.

Okruashvili returned to Georgia on an Istanbul-Tbilisi flight early in the morning of November 20 with his uncle Iosif Giguashvili.

According to a decision of the Tbilisi City Court as of March 28, 2008, Okruashvili has already been sentenced in absentia to 11 years in prison for embezzlement of budget funds.

Currently Okruashvili and Giguashvili are in Gldani prison No 8.
