Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 26 / Trend, N. Kirtskhalia /
Turkey offers to exchange prisoners of Georgia, Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili told reporters in Davos.
However, he said that he personally does not attempt to explore such questions.
"I met with the Foreign Minister of Turkey, at the last meeting attended by the Maya Panjikidze. Was a very cordial meeting. Was asked a question - can there be an exchange of prisoners. It's normal. But I do not try to study such questions, and forwarded them to the authorities," - the premier said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani told reporters on Saturday that over every case against Turkish citizens it will work individually. "Turkish prisoners come to us with a request to transfer they home because they want to serve their sentences there and it is possible. These cases are studied," - she said.
