Pardons Commission under the Georgian President gave recommendations 102 convicts. As stated after the meeting of the commission by its chairman Elena Tevdoradze, comission just reviewed over 500 applications from prisoners.
"It was a very serious offense and we were able to make recommendations only 102 prisoners," she said.
Tevdoradze expressed satisfaction with the work of the new Commission, which did not include representatives of the government and parliament. The Commission consists mainly of public figures. For the first time representative of the Patriarch of Georgia became its member.
