Polish IT-company to invest in Georgian economy

Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri met a delegation from the Polish IT company Asseco Group.

The purpose of the visit is to find out about the investment environment in Georgia in the field of information technology and experience exchange and partner search in both the public and private sector, the Ministry of Finance of Georgia told Trend on Wednesday.

"The company expressed its desire to make investments in Georgia and to find partners in the country. It is one of the largest information technology companies in Eastern and Central Europe, working in the field of software. They have an interesting strategy that they want to share with private companies. With regard to cooperation with the government, our task is to consider their suggestions on software and using advanced technology," Khaduri said.

Company representative Przemysław Sęczkowski said: "This is our first visit to Georgia. The company has good experience in the field of software in various industries. We've arrived to studying the investment environment and look for potential partners in Georgia. We hope to cooperate both with private companies and public entities," he said.

The Asseco Group successfully operates in many countries of Europe, as well as in the U.S., Israel, Japan and Canada.
