The Georgian Dream will name its candidate for the presidency by the end of May, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said at a meeting with media representatives on Wednesday.
He said that he has his own candidate in mind.
"We will introduce our candidate by late May," Ivanishvili said. "I have already chosen a candidate, but his candidacy must be agreed and approved by the team. We have worthy candidates."
Ivanishvili did not specify whether candidacy will be given to Salome Zourabichvili.
He added that the issue has not been discussed within the coalition, because she is busy with more important topics.
"The issue has been postponed purposefully," he said. "We did not want to focus on it, because constitutional changes were more important. The bill on the courts must be discussed first. The minority said that we are destroying the system.
