Representatives of "Georgian Dream" confidently lead in all three electoral districts in Georgian midterm elections

The Central Election Commission of Georgia made public the preliminary results of midterm elections to the Georgian Parliament on three electoral districts on Sunday. Elections were held in Nadzaladevi (Tbilisi), Samtredia and Bagdati.

Members of the ruling coalition "Georgian Dream" are leading in all three electoral districts.

Representative of the Georgian Dream Tamar Kordzaya leads with 39.49 percent of votes in Nadzaladevi district of Tbilisi. The leader of "Free Georgia" party Kakha Kukava ranks second with 16.74 percent, and representative of the United National Movement Papuna Davitaya ranks third with 15.42 percent of votes.

In other two districts the ruling party has stronger advantage.

In Samtredia candidate from "Georgian Dream" Giorgi Kakhiani leads with 81.49 percent of votes. Representative of United National Movement Emzar Shubladze ranks second with 18.3 percent of the votes.

In Bagdati representative of the coalition of the government Paata Kiknavelidze leads with 59.8 percent of votes. Representative of United National Movement Vladimir Tsikoridze ranks second with 24.09 percent of votes.

All observers affirm that the April 27 elections were held in a peaceful and competitive atmosphere and serious violations were not recorded.
