There will be a special meeting of the National Security Council on the issue of ambassadors of Georgia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze said on Tuesday.
According to her, she put the issue of cause why the President does not sign the presentations on specific individuals of Georgian Foreign Ministry.
She recalled that in the leading countries of the world, such as Germany, Great Britain, Georgia does not have ambassadors because Mikheil Saakashvili refuses to submit them to parliament, as provided by the law.
"We agreed that on the issue of the ambassadors will hold a special meeting and there will discuss all issues concerning the diplomatic mission," Pandzhikidze stressed.
She also said that during the meeting it was agreed that Georgian President will be accompanied by the one of the Deputy Foreign Minister to all foreign trips.
"It will improve coordination between the Foreign Ministry and the administration of the President, and our joint action on the international area," Pandzhikidze said.
